Sista Strut: 3K Breast Cancer Walk

Join 93.3 The Beat Jamz and V101.5 for Sista Strut Jacksonville in 2016! The event will be at The Jacksonville Landing on June 25th, 2016 from 7:30 AM to 12 noon.

Sista Strut is a 3k breast cancer awareness walk aimed to uniquely support women of color. The goal of Sista Strut is to heighten awareness about the issues of breast cancer in women of color and to provide information about community resources. Studies show that African American women are more likely to get breast cancer at a younger age and have a death rate from breast cancer twice that of Caucasian women of the same age. Sista Strut recognizes the strength of survivors, their family and friends, heightens awareness, promotes early detection and the search for a cure. What’s more, all contributions raised for the excellent charities Sista Strut supports remain local and benefit women in our community!
