NEFAR’s 15th Annual Charity Bass Fishing Tournament

For the fifteenth consecutive year, the Northeast Florida Association of Realtors (NEFAR) will raise funds for Haven Hospice Roberts Care Center in Palatka through a catch-and-release Charity Bass Fishing Tournament and Family Fun Day on Saturday, April 28, along the St. Johns River in Palatka (Riverfront Park on U.S. 17).

Two-person fishing teams will leave from Palatka City Dock at Riverfront Park at safe light with weigh-in scheduled for 3 p.m. Teams compete for prizes, including a $7,500 guaranteed payback for first place, $3,000 guaranteed payback for second place, $1,500 guaranteed payback for third place, $1,000 guaranteed payback for the Tournament big bass and $500 guaranteed payback for second big bass, and more. A $250 cash drawing for fishing team members who are present immediately follows the Tournament.

While teams fish, the Family Fun Day will be enjoyed by members of the public from noon until 5 p.m. Activities for the whole family are available, including a giant inflatable slide for children, children’s fish tank fishing experience (catch and release a live fish), Reel Kids Casting Contest for prizes, a Mason’s Kids ID Program, and many food, beverage and merchandise vendor booths. With the exception of food / beverage and merchandise purchases from booths, all Family Fun Day activities are free of charge.

Online registration for fishing teams is available through April 26 for $120 per boat. Fishing teams can also register and pay onsite the day of the event.
