What: The third annual See the Girl Summit will be a thought provoking two-day conference where national thought leaders, subject matter experts and participants will address the needs of Florida’s girls and young women through a girl-centered, trauma-informed framework. Featured workshop tracks include Girl-Centered Values in Action, Research and Advocacy. CEUs will be available for professionals.
Who: The See the Girl Summit is geared towards healthcare and service providers, educators, students, therapists, social workers, legal professionals, juvenile justice and child protection professionals, advocates, survivors, concerned citizens and anyone interested in championing the rights of girls.
Speakers include Dr. Amy Banks, Director of Advanced Training and Senior Research Scientist at The Jean Baker Miller Training Institute and the Wellesley Centers for Women, Russel Funk, Executive Director of MensWork, working to engage and mobilize men to end violence against women, and Dr. Barbara Guthrie, Professor and Director of PhD program at Northeastern University School of Nursing.
