North Florida Land Trust’s Legacy Luncheon

January 20, 2017 @ 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM

$30

North Florida Land Trust will be holding their annual Legacy Luncheon to present their accomplishments of 2016 and to show what they have planned for 2017. NFLT had a historic year in 2016, tripling the amount of conservation lands. They added more than 12,000 acres to the amount of land held for conservation purposes. It is the most land NFLT has been able to preserve in one year since they started their mission in 1999.

The luncheon will include special guest speaker Tommy Hazouri, City Council At Large Group 3. Council Member Hazouri was instrumental in obtaining city funding to help NFLT raise the money to save the 1898 Spanish American War Fort.

NFLT will also be recognizing special guests and the 2016 volunteer of the year, Ben Ansbacher. Ansbacher is a member of the Team Terrapin volunteer program and helps to monitor diamondback terrapins during their nesting season. He also has helped the Stewardship team with property monitoring and scouting of potential conservation properties.

Tickets to the event are $30 and can be purchased at www.northfloridalandtrust.org/legacyluncheon/. For more information, contact Genevieve Fletcher at [email protected] or call (904) 479-1962.
