Now in its 34th year, the Jacksonville Marathon is the oldest marathon in Jacksonville.
Each year, a percentage of proceeds from the marathon are donated to Duval County Public Schools’ high school track and cross country teams. Last year’s marathon raised more than $8,000 that was distributed to the high school running clubs to assist with their fundraising efforts.
The Ameris Bank Jacksonville Marathon course is USA Track and Field certified and is a Boston Marathon Qualifier. It is one of the fastest marathon courses in the Southeast. Prize money is given to the top finishers. The Ameris Bank Jacksonville Marathon consists of a marathon, half marathon and 5K race.
