On January 23, 1866, the family of Isiah D. Hart sold Hemming Park to the City of Jacksonville for $10. Join us on Saturday, January 23, 2016 to celebrate 150 years of history and learn more about the exciting future of Jacksonville’s oldest public park.
Enjoy music, acrobats, live painting by First Coast Plein Air Painters, historic photos, a historic trivia contest with historian Dr. Wayne Wood, kids activities, food truck fare and an “ostrich” cart race/food drive to benefit Clara White Mission.
Become a Friend of Hemming Park for just $10 this month (reg. $25) and enjoy a special members-only social in the atrium of City Hall including cocktails, cupcakes and updates from our CEO Vince Cavin.
This event is free and open to the public. Kids and pets are welcome. On-street parking is free in Downtown Jacksonville on the weekends.
