Welcome to the 2nd Annual Timucuan River Race…3 great races

PaddleBoard (SUP) Prizes – $500 (top male) and $500 (top female), Canoe/Kayak race – $500 top finisher, Kid’s race – $100 top finisher.

This event serves as a fund-raising event for the Manatee Critical Care Center at the world-class Jacksonville Zoo & Gardens and Friends of Stockton. In recent years, the Jacksonville Zoo & Gardens has transformed itself from not only an outstanding zoo facility where animals, many of whom are struggling in the wild, are kept with the best possible care in mind but, more importantly the Zoo has initiated or supported various important conservation projects for saving animals across our planet. Recently, our Zoo built and designed a new critical care manatee center and exhibit that will not only treat injured animals but allow the public to view this majestic Florida mammal in an up-close and personal setting.

The race is approximately 1.5 miles starting and finishing at the Timuquana bridge (also known as the 103rd bridge).  The turn-around is Ortega Island.
