4th Annual Jacksonville NF Walk and Family Fun Day

October 1, 2016 @ 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM

Check-In & Registration begins Noon
NF Walk Begins 1 p.m.

A group of local volunteers from the Children’s Tumor Foundation will lead two-mile walk to raise awareness and money to fund research into Neurofibromatosis (NF). NF is a genetic disorder that causes tumors to grow on nerves throughout the body and affects one in every 3,000 people. Currently there is no cure or effective treatment.

The Children’s Tumor Foundation identifies NF Heroes as those who have demonstrated remarkable courage living with neurofibromatosis. During the welcome remarks, Michele Holbrook of Fernandina Beach will be recognized for her positive spirit and resolve. Many other NF Heroes will participate at the NF Walk, together with teams that have committed to raising money and awareness on their behalf.

The Jacksonville Walk funds NF research, raises awareness, and provides support for the estimated 280 individuals and their families in Jacksonville impacted by NF. Our NF Heroes, families and friends join together for an enjoyable event while raising funds to END NF!
